We met in the most ordinary way—and somehow, it turned into everything.

The truth is, our story actually started a little earlier. We met briefly about 15 years ago, then went our separate ways, completely unaware that life had plans to bring us back together. Fast forward to two years ago, when we reconnected in a very modern love story twist: Blake became Shane’s landlord. (Yes, really.)

Not long after, thanks to Blake’s sister and her husband, we were properly reintroduced. It took us a full year to finally grab a drink—no rushing destiny—but once we did, things started to fall into place. A weekend snowed in together at Blake’s sister’s house, along with her husband and their three kids, gave us plenty of time to talk, laugh, and realize that maybe this timing was exactly right. By the time the snow melted, we knew we wanted to go on an actual date.

What began as a simple hello turned into long conversations, shared laughs, and that unmistakable feeling that life was better together. Late nights became routine, small adventures felt big, and we found not just a partner, but a best friend—someone to laugh with, lean on, and choose every single day.

Love showed up in the quiet moments: morning coffees, inside jokes that made sense only to us, and the comfort of knowing we were always on the same team. We learned how to grow together, how to be patient, and how to build a life side by side—one filled with joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love.

On December 16, 2025, Shane asked Blake to spend forever together, and the answer was the easiest yes there’s ever been.
